This is Gloucestershire -- THE Gloucester victim of a road crash in the Cotswolds has been named. Today police confirmed that the 57-year-old woman who died after a head-on collision near the Gloucestershire-Oxfordshire border was Maura Helen Drew, of Insley Gardens, Hucclecote. The crash happened while she was travelling in the Cheltenham direction at around 6.50am on Monday, January 14. She was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision between her silver Suzuki Swift and a blue Ford Fiesta, near the former Windrush cafe between Northleach and Burford. No arrests had been made following the crash. A man who was behind the wheel of the Ford Fiesta suffered minor injuries. After the crash, police closed the road in both directions between Burford and Northleach. The seven mile stretch between the Northleach roundabout and the Gloucestershire boundary has seen one other fatality in the past four years. But on the same stretch, four people were seriously injured and 30 slightly injured from September 2009 until 2013.
