This is South Devon -- A CRASH near Marldon on the Torbay Ring Road brought traffic to a standstill on Wednesday afternoon. The crash involved a black Nissan 350Z sports car, registered in Torquay, which, according to police, went out of control and collided with the central reservation barrier heading towards Torquay from the Preston Down Road roundabout. The accident happened at around 3.15pm. There were reports of heavy traffic congestion in the area although the road was open again by 3.45pm. The crash destroyed 30 to 40 feet of the central reservation barrier. An ambulance crew was called to the scene along with a recovery team, who were still on site making repairs.
