This is Nottingham -- THREE people arrested following a fatal car crash in Newark have been released. Two women, aged 22 and 18, and a 20-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both women have been released with no further action. The man has been bailed pending further enquiries. The incident took place on Monday, December 23, around 11pm in Beacon Hill Road, Newark. A 25-year-old man driving a Citroen Picasso was fatally injured when his vehicle collided with a Ford Fiesta containing a driver and a passenger. The Fiesta driver, an 18-year-old man and a female passenger aged 18 sustained non-life threatening injuries that required hospital treatment. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact the force's Crash Investigation Unit on 101 ext 2225 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
