This is Staffordshire -- A 27-YEAR-OLD woman is fighting for her life following a car crash. Staffordshire Police are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred at around 10.30pm on Christmas Day on Knypersley Road, Ball Green, near the junction of St. Nicolas Avenue. The incident involved a single vehicle, a red coloured Ford Fiesta being driven by the Stoke-on-Trent woman who sustained serious injuries. Two other occupants of the Fiesta, a man and a young child, sustained minor injuries and were treated by paramedics. The woman driver was assessed by doctors at the scene and taken by paramedics to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire where she remains in a critical condition. The road was closed for around four hours last night to allow a detailed examination of the scene of the single vehicle collision by specialist collision investigators. Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident, or to people travelling in the area who may have seen the red coloured Fiesta to call PC Lovatt on 101 quoting incident number 499 of December 25.
