This is North Devon -- A driver has been taken to hospital following a two-car crash which has closed a section of the A361 North Devon Link Road this evening. Police and fire crews were called to the crash in the Swimbridge area at around 7pm. Officers said one driver had been taken to North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple. Devon and Cornwall Police said the extent of their injuries was unknown at this time. The driver of the other vehicle has sustained minor injuries. The A361 North Devon Link Road remains closed in both directions at this time between Aller Cross roundabout near South Molton and the Landkey junction near Barnstaple. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternative route where possible.
