Tributes have been pouring in for John Shrive, the veteran east of England estate agent who has been tragically killed in a car accident.
Mr Shrive, 75, ran the single office John B Shrive agency at Holt in Norfolk. He had lived in the area for almost half a century, much of that time involved in selling homes through other agencies and then his own.
His car was in collision with another on the B1061 at Stetchworth Park in Cambridgeshire.
Mr Shrive was a Rotary club activist, parish councillor and former chairman of the Kelling Hospital Appeal. He was travelling back from a meeting at his old school, Wellingborough in Northampton-shire when he crashed at about 6pm on Friday four miles south of Newmarket.
In the crash, the driver of the other vehicle suffered serious but not life threatening injuries. Anyone who saw the collision or any of the vehicles involved just prior should contact Sergeant Paul Tanner, at the roads policing unit, on 101
