FOUR cars crashed on Westwood Road earlier which forced the closure of the road. One person was taken to QEQM hosptial with minor injuries after two ambulances attended the scene at 11.40pm. The road was closed in both directions from the Broadstairs Canterbury Christchurch campus roundabout down towards Perry's. The crash caused jams around Westwood Cross, Northwood Road and Westwood Road from the Broadstairs Road roundabout. The road was closed to recover the vehicles but reopened at 1.15pm.
