A YOUNG driver apparently escaped unhurt after this early hours car smash in Stroud. Police said the parents of the 19 year old motorist told them they'd taken him home after the crash shortly before 2am yesterday (thurs) on the B4008 at Stroud Green in Standish. Passers-by said about 20 feet of fencing was demolished in the accident after which the Ford Focus vehicle ended up on arable land.
