This is Leicestershire -- A woman was taken to hospital after losing control of her car on a rural road shortly after exiting a dual carriageway. The crash took place in Main Street, Lockington, on the approach to the village from the A50 and junction 24 of the M1. Emergency services were called to the scene at just before 11am yesterday. A fire service spokeswoman said: "Crews from Loughborough and Long Eaton stations attended the incident. "They had to free the casualty from the vehicle, although no cutting gear was necessary." She said the woman was then taken by ambulance to the Queen's Medical Centre, in Nottingham. The extent of her injuries are not known. Firefighters made the scene safe and sent a stop message to control at 11.37am. The incident was left with the police.
