This is Dorset -- A man was cut free from his car after a crash on Spread Eagle Hill near Shaftesbury. Crews from Shaftesbury Fire Station were called to the Higher Shaftesbury Road at Melbury Abbas at around 5:30pm yesterday to reports of a two-vehicle collision. Officers found a dustcart and a hatchback car had collided and a male casualty was trapped inside his vehicle. Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car to extricate the trapped man – who was taken to hospital.
